SuperYacht Check is an independent company specialized in surveying superyachts ranging from 30 to 160 meters.
We are not related to class or flag state surveyors, who focus on safety-related items.
Our survey focus on the state of all systems on board; how are these maintained, what is the current state and what are the expected costs of required scheduled maintenance. Our inspection goes much deeper than any of the required class and flag surveys.
For the survey, a sea trial is advised to test the main engines, generators, operation of bridge equipment, water makers, and stabilizers. We also record the vibration and noise levels in guest areas.
Once we have completed the inspection, the client will receive the report with an expert and unbiased opinion of the real condition of the yacht.
Part of the Superyacht Check survey could include:
Complete Interior
Check for mold, smells, water damage, lights, doors, floor heating, AV/IT, bathroom items, noises and air quality.
HVAC
Check the working of air conditioning system as well as humidity and air quality in all guest areas. Spot-check cleanliness of the fresh air supply ducts. Check extraction ducts of galley and laundry.
The Hull
Check for damage on propellers, growth, and state of paint (antifouling).
Engine room equipment
Check operation, scheduled maintenance, and defect history of machinery.
Main Engines
Inspection by local, qualified engine manufacturer technicians before and during sea trial. A separate report will be supplied.
Bridge
Inspection of navigation and operation systems.
Electrical systems
Check quality of wiring and hotspots in electrical cabinets.
Fresh Water System
Check operation of potable water systems, including desalination plant, disinfectant, and filtration systems.
Galley Equipment
Check cleanliness and operation of all equipment.
Laundry Equipment
Check fire hazards and operation of all equipment.
Guest tenders
Check tender operations, including engines, thrusters and navigation equipment. Visual inspection of the engine bay and diagnostic tests of the engines.
Pool and Jacuzzi
Check operation and working of auto- dosing systems.
